A passionate theatre person, Mr. Varun Maira himself started out as a backstage artiste, handling sets for a Shakespeare play in his St. Stephen’s days (Delhi) and then learnt make up and graduated to handling lights for a play. Moving forward, he also directed comedies and as an actor he beautifully used his deep bass voice on the stage.He has directed many plays for his theatre group “Playcart”, Ahmedabad’s oldest English language theatre group. He regularly directs and acts in plays and holds theatre workshops and was actively involved with theatre during college days.
